About the Project - Standardized health services framework for developing digital health tools - Leveraging human-centric design.

The primary goal of this initiative was to establish a domain-agnostic framework that promotes consistency and standardization in the design of digital health tools within primary healthcare (PHC). As part of this project, we developed the following key outputs:

  1. The Framework: A structured guide to ensure uniformity in digital tool development.
  2. An Excel-Based Compendium: Comprehensive mapping of health services across three thematic areas—RMNCHA+, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), and Mental Health.
  3. An End-User Tool: Designed to facilitate user-friendly navigation of mapped services within these areas. To view more details, access the Project's brochure and report.

Excel Based Compendium - Consolidated Single Sheet View

This version of the Excel compendium tool provides users with a comprehensive and consolidated Pivot interface that enables access to comprehensive data. The header or top section features slicers, which serve as interactive filters for all the facets of the framework across the three thematic areas: RMNCHA+, NCD, and Mental Health. These slicers allow users to filter and navigate through thematic and sub-thematic areas, tailoring the displayed information to their specific needs.

Excel Based Compendium – Separate Sheet View

This version of the Excel compendium tool enables users to access separate sheets categorized by thematic and sub-thematic areas for RMNCH+A, and thematic areas for NCDs and Mental Health. Each sheet provides a comprehensive mapping of services across various facets of the framework, allowing for a clear visualization of service linkages and pathways. It is recommended to open this sheet on the desktop or download it for optimal viewing of the functionality.

End User Tool

Under the project, one of the key objectives was to develop a standardized framework for the primary health care service delivery ecosystem to guide the creation of digital solutions, including an excel based compendium detailing facets of the framework such as health care services, primary health care providers, and national health programs. Recognizing the potential for greater usability, the team also initiated the development of an automated, intuitive, end-user digital tool designed as a ready reckoner for end users to visualize and navigate the service delivery landscape compiled in the Excel-based compendium. This tool was developed with the expertise of a technical agency specializing in digital applications to support complex data relationships and ensure streamlined user experience.
